Heat Treating / Scanning

Induction Heat Treating is a process by which metal is transformed in order to produce the peak physical properties. The market is endless with components that require improved heat treating characteristics through induction. Components such as: Axles, Shafts, Cams, Crankshafts, Sprockets, Bearings, CV Joints etc.

We at HIS, Inc. design and manufacture robust and reliable heat treating machinery. Some of the equipment is standard products, but we realize that every application can be unique to how our customers wish to process their parts. We have complete turnkey heat treating cell capabilities.

We use Allen Bradley PLC, Servo Motors and Servo Drives for our standard scanner packages. The PLC-M motion controller platforms are the most robust and transparent control scheme available. Using AB Panel-View touch screen terminals we can create a simple operators interface for our customers and their application. All machines come complete with a VPN router so that we can access the machinery from a remote location. This provides additional assistance in recipe development, troubleshooting and 1X a year HIS backs up our customers PLC/HMI files so they have current data in the event of a failure.
